Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis has been nominated for the Championship Manager of the Month award for August following a strong start to the campaign.

Boro have won four and drawn two of their six Championship matches this season, with a total of 14 points leaving them second to division leaders Leeds United on goal difference.

Boro have actually not conceded a single goal in the league since the opening weekend of the campaign, and certainly look capable of launching a title challenge this season.

Pulis has been shortlisted alongside Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray and Bolton Wanderers head coach Phil Parkinson.
