According to a report by , Rodrygo’s move to Arsenal might happen, with Madrid considering selling him. In the Club World Cup, he started against Al-Hilal but coach Xabi Alonso left him on the bench for the game against Pachuca. The winger might be at the juncture of a possible move, with Madrid firm on their €90 million ($104m/£76m) asking price.

Premier League side Arsenal are being considered the potential suitors for the Brazilian, as they think he would strengthen Mikel Arteta’s attacking third. There has been uncertainty about his future for some time and new coach Alonso suggested he wants him to stay. However, after young forwards Gonzalo Garcia and winger Brahim Diaz got the nod ahead of him against Pachuca, he may consider his options. Apart from Arsenal, Manchester City were also a club who were interested in him last summer, and reportedly have reignited their pursuit for him.
